We are seeking a welding assistant to support workshop/on-site tasks, assisting certified welders in assembly, preparation, and finishing of metal parts.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare parts: clean, deburr, brush, and position materials.
* Clamp and secure parts for welding (using clamps, vises, magnets).
* Supply electrodes, wires, gases, and tools to the welder.
* Perform cutting tasks using oxy-fuel cutting or saws as instructed.
* Grind, polish, and apply basic finishing (brushing, pickling).
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
* Verify basic dimensions and report defects.
* Comply with safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
Requirements:
* Minimum experience: 6 months to 2 years in metalworking workshops (preferred).
* Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and measurements.
* Basic proficiency with hand and power tools (grinder, saw, wire brush).
* Welding certification or basic welding course (preferred).
* Availability for shift work or full-time employment.
* Good physical condition and ability to work in a team.
* Preferred: familiarity with MIG/MAG, TIG, or oxyacetylene welding.
