Job Profile:
The Narcotics Canine Handler will be responsible for supervising, training, and
handling dogs trained to detect illicit substances, ensuring their well-being and
effectiveness in detection. Candidates are expected to possess observational skills,
patience, and a commitment to security.
* Technical competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for generating
informative inspection reports on computers.
Responsibilities
* Train and handle canines for security and narcotics detection activities.
* Conduct inspections in assigned areas to prevent illicit substance trafficking.
* Generate detailed inspection reports on computers using tools such as Excel and Word.
* Ensure canine well-being, including feeding, grooming, and maintenance.
* Collaborate with the security team during operations and inspections.
* Adhere to established protocols for detection and reporting of findings.
Working Conditions
* Contract type: Indefinite-term contract.
* Schedule: Rotating, based on operational needs.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
* Education: Completed high school diploma (preferred).
* Experience: Minimum 1 year handling canines, especially in narcotics detection.
* Certification: Canine Handler course with emphasis on narcotics.
* Knowledge: Private security, detection protocols, proper canine handling.
* Skills: Teamwork, leadership, effective communication, ability to react under pressure.
* Physical condition: Good health and stamina for patrol shifts.
* Availability: Rotating schedules and willingness to participate in special operations.
