Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate Supplier Quality Engineer with industrial maintenance expertise to ensure supplier quality performance and lead a team. Key Highlights: 1. If you are passionate about industrial maintenance and seek an environment where your technical capabilities translate into tangible results, this opportunity is for you. **GENERAL DESCRIPTION:** Ensure the quality performance of the electronic and mechanical components supplier base through development, monitoring, and continuous improvement, leading the Incoming Technicians and Auditors team to guarantee zero defects caused by material in production. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** · Personnel management and leadership: Functionally direct the Incoming Technicians and Auditors team. Assign priorities, review performance, train, and develop team members. · Owner of supplier metrics: Manage PPM, OTD, cost of poor quality, SCAR response times, and scorecards across the entire supplier base. · Lead critical supplier development: Conduct on-site audits per VDA 6\.3 or CQI (as applicable), qualify new suppliers, and approve First Article Inspections (FAI)/PPAP. · Manage the full non-conformance lifecycle: Issue SCAR/8D reports, validate containment actions, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and close cases with evidence. · Coordinate major containment activities with the IQC team: Define scope, instruct the Lead Technician, and ensure execution on the shop floor \+ warehouse \+ WIP. · Manage supplier-related matters: Improvement plans, quality charges, bulk RMA returns, and process changes. · Approve supplier changes: PCN/ECN, manufacturing site changes, alternate materials. Lead validations (where applicable). · Perform component risk analysis: Obsolescence, single-source dependency, shelf life, MSL, and mitigation plans. · Review and approve IQC documentation: MRB reports, inspection criteria, visual aids. · Serve as the technical escalation point for the Incoming Lead Technician regarding specification interpretation or supplier disputes. · Participate in APQP with Procurement and Engineering for new projects: Supplier selection, FMEA and supplier Control Plan reviews. · Present supplier quality status and recovery plans to management and customers. Manage budgets for containment, rework, and supplier quality costs. **Job Requirements and Skills:** **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field. **Languages:** Basic English. **Experience:** 2\-5 years in supplier quality within the electronics industry, with at least 2 years managing personnel. **Required Skills:** Proficiency in IPC\-A\-610, J\-STD\-001, J\-STD\-033, ESD S20\.20\. Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plan (level-specific evaluation and training). Methodologies: 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Quality Tools (Mandatory), \+ VDA 6\.3, CQI\-8, CQI\-9, CQI\-11 (Desirable) for supplier processes. Component manufacturing processes: PCB fabrication, IC assembly, molding, cables — to conduct effective audits. Ability to read complex drawings, GD\&T, datasheets, and customer special requirements. Advanced SAP/QMS, Advanced Excel, Minitab. Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and CSR interpretation. Project management for supplier improvement and personnel development. Executive communication: Present to directors and customers in English. Strategic thinking: Prioritize which suppliers to address based on risk.
