




Position Summary: We are seeking a General Accountant to ensure the organization’s financial and tax health, supervise operations, and generate strategic information for decision-making. Inventory control and internal audits **Prossea Corp de Mexico** **Hiring a General Accountant** **GENERAL INFORMATION** * **Position:** General Accountant and/or General Administration * **Department:** Accounting / Finance * **Reports to:** Finance Director / General Management * **Team supervised:** Accounting Assistants / Payroll Coordinators / Collections Staff **I. POSITION OBJECTIVE** Ensure the organization’s financial and tax health through accurate recording of transactions, strict compliance with current Mexican legal regulations (NIF and Tax Laws), and generation of strategic information for decision-making. Manage the Finance Department and the company’s general administrative operations. **II. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS** * **Comprehensive Accounting Management:** Supervise the full accounting cycle—from journal entry recording to issuance of monthly and annual financial statements. * **Tax Compliance:** Calculate and file provisional and final tax returns (Income Tax, VAT, Withholdings) and the Annual Tax Return. * **Electronic Accounting:** Generate and submit monthly trial balance and chart of accounts in accordance with SAT guidelines. * **CFDI 4.0 Management:** Validate proper issuance and receipt of invoices, payment complements, and payroll receipts; perform periodic reconciliations against SAT viewers. * **Treasury and Banking:** Supervise bank reconciliations, cash flow, and management of accounts receivable and payable. * **Liaison with Authorities:** Manage requests, notices, and notifications via the Tax Inbox (Buzón Tributario). * **Operational Permit Management:** Track operational permits issued by state and municipal authorities, as well as IMSS. * **Implementation of NOM-034** * General administrative skills **III. SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES** * Cleansing and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts. * Calculation of local taxes (Payroll Tax). * Supervision of compliance with IMSS and INFONAVIT obligations (SUA/IDSE). * Preparation of annual budgets and variance analysis. * Documentation of transaction materiality for tax defense files. * Monthly reporting and personnel control * Internal audits and inventory control **IV. PROFILE REQUIREMENTS** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting (Degree and Professional License mandatory). * **Experience:** Minimum 3–5 years in similar positions. * **Technical Knowledge:** * Income Tax Law (LISR), VAT Law (LIVA), Federal Tax Code (CFF), and current Fiscal Miscellaneous Resolution. * Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF). * Preventive audit expertise (XML vs. accounting cross-checks). **V. TOOLS AND SOFTWARE** * **Accounting Systems/ERP:** Proficiency in CONTPAQi, Aspel COI, SAP Business One or similar. * **Government Platforms:** SAT Portal, IDSE, SIPARE, and state finance portals. * **Office Suite:** Advanced Excel (PivotTables, complex formulas, basic macros). * **Specialized Tools:** Bulk XML download tools and CFDI validators. **VI. Salary and Benefits \- Starting salary: MXN 18,000–20,000, negotiable \- Statutory benefits \- Workweek: Monday to Friday \- Working hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including one-hour lunch break \- Two paid rest days per month \- First Saturday of each month: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM \- Salary increases tied to sustainable growth Salary: $15,000.00 – $20,000.00 per month Work Location: On-site employment
