Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware, and equipment into an industry-leading, end-to-end provider of optical solutions, spanning the broader communications industry. This segment is divided into two primary product groups: Carrier Networks and Enterprise Networks. The Carrier Networks product group consists primarily of products and solutions for fiber-optic communication infrastructure supporting video, data, and voice services. The Enterprise Networks product group consists primarily of fiber-optic communication networks targeting businesses, governments, and individuals for private use. **Purpose of the Role** --------------------- * Support the Company’s safety/health system; assist the physician during medical admissions and address all employees’ health and medical needs. * Provide medical support to workers and promote the Company’s 24/7 Health System; collaborate with departmental activities such as special medical evaluations, health campaigns, and fulfilling specific Occupational Health-related requirements. * Collaborate in implementing the Occupational Health System by: conducting new-hire and periodic examinations, enrolling employees in occupational surveillance programs, scheduling regular or special examinations for employees, and ensuring effective communication to meet legal compliance. * Ensure compliance with applicable health regulations during working hours. **Responsibilities** --------------------- * Assist the physician in medical situations including accidents, prevention, and treatment of common or occupational illnesses. * Manage the medical surveillance program for personnel exposed to occupational hazards, in accordance with Mexican regulations and corporate standards, during the assigned shift—including scheduling, conducting, communicating, documenting, and reporting results—as well as supporting the administration of new-hire or special examinations (e.g., position changes, random drug tests, etc.). * Implement Preventive Medicine Programs according to the Annual Health Program during the assigned shift: health campaigns, chronic disease management, vaccinations, prenatal care, nutrition programs, among others. * Establish communication with operations personnel, support areas, and administrative departments regarding wellness, health activities, and services. * Manage administrative activities required for the Medical Department’s operation per Mexican regulations, including: medication control, visit registration, inspection of first-aid kits and medical equipment, management of medical records (hiring, termination, and reporting), disability certifications, and IMSS and STPS forms. * Actively foster and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the Health Department’s processes. **Requirements** -------------- **Education.** * Nursing Technician or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (with official diploma) **Experience** * Occupational Health – Maquiladora Industry * Public Health Institutions * Local Private Hospitals **Additional Skills** --------------------------- * Excellent personal presentation. * Ability to interact effectively with all staff members. * Basic English comprehension is desirable. * Availability to rotate shifts.
