Description
This position will solve technical problems and complete coding tasks with minimal supervision, while working under divine guidance to deliver or support technology that advances the Church’s mission and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel.
* Collaborate with department managers to define development strategy and priorities.
* Contribute to improving development practices.
* Collaborate with team members and various stakeholders to define product development scope.
* Write, enhance, and test code for diverse products, collaborating with the team on quality reviews and sound development practices.
* Participate in design roundtables and advisory councils.
* Facilitate team understanding of development strategy and its implementation across cross-functional teams.
* Participate in cross-functional teams to advance project objectives.
* Align department mission and goals with product outcomes.
* Participate in process development and continuous improvement activities.
* Responsible for developing features in one or more product areas.
* Collaborate with the *Technology* *Solutions* team to deliver work on time and according to specifications.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems, Programming, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics to Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
* Intermediate proficiency in building user interfaces and collaborating with user experience designers using a modern web platform.
* In-depth knowledge of current and relevant full-stack web development technologies.
* Strong technical understanding of systems and technologies used (Git, Docker, Database Engines, React, Next.js, Node.js, Microsoft Power Platform).
* Experience managing and tracking software development projects using agile methodologies such as Scrum.
* Demonstrated experience regularly acquiring new technical skills.
* Ability to debug design and behavioral issues across browsers.
* Knowledge of current trends in web development architecture (performance, accessibility, usability).
* Proficiency in automated and manual testing.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; English B2 (technical).
* This position is performed in a professional office environment (on\-site).
* To successfully perform essential job functions, physical requirements may include prolonged sitting and use of monitors/computing equipment.
