Job Description and Activity Details Works operationally with the Safety and Hygiene Supervisor to implement Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental programs, as well as training programs, ensuring a clean and safe working environment for all employees; always in compliance with applicable regulations. General Functions and Responsibilities 1\. Collaborates with the Safety and Hygiene Supervisor to promote Safety Culture and initiatives, as well as Safety and Environmental campaigns. 2\. Conducts frequent inspections across various areas to identify risks, close findings, and prevent accidents and environmental impacts 3\. Participates in the accident/incident investigation team 4\. Serves as an instructor for onboarding training of new employees and for other employees according to the Annual Training Program 5\. Develops Safe Job Analyses jointly with area leaders and supervisors 6\. Participates in Emergency Response Teams and the Safety and Hygiene Committee 7\. Collects hazardous waste from generating areas 8\. Identifies and controls hazardous chemical materials 9\. Participates in internal audits to verify compliance with SHMA policies and standards 10\. Issues safe work permits to internal personnel and suppliers 11\. Monitors high-risk activities performed by suppliers and contractors 12\. Other duties may be assigned as required Experience and Requirements Education: * Technical degree in Safety and Environment or related field.
