General Information** * **Job Title:** Maintenance Planner * **Department:** Maintenance / Operations (Processes) * **Reports To:** Maintenance Manager / Process Manager * **Direct Reports:** None (coordinates technicians and vendors) **2\. Job Objective** To plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for plant equipment, ensuring availability, reliability, and operational efficiency while minimizing downtime and optimizing resources. **3\. Functions and ResponsibilitiesPlanning and Scheduling** * Develop preventive and corrective maintenance schedules. * Define scope, timelines, resources, and procedures for each activity. * Generate and track work orders. **Maintenance Management** * Administer, prioritize, and close work orders in the system (CMMS/GMAO or internal control). * Ensure compliance with the maintenance plan. **Operational Coordination** * Coordinate activities among maintenance, operations, and vendors. * Schedule plant shutdowns and critical activities. * Supervise proper technical execution (without direct execution). **Resource Management** * Ensure availability of spare parts, tools, and consumables. * Generate purchase requisitions. * Control inventory of critical spare parts. **Analysis and Improvement** * Monitor maintenance KPIs: * MTBF * MTTR * Equipment availability * Propose improvements to increase reliability and reduce costs. **4\.
