




Position Summary: This role ensures the availability and safety of the vehicle fleet by optimizing operational costs and time through planning and execution of maintenance. Key Highlights: 1. Comprehensive workshop operations control and regulatory compliance. **MECHANICAL WORKSHOP MANAGER** Ensure the availability, reliability, and safety of the vehicle fleet (trailers and tractor-trailers) through proper planning, execution, and control of preventive and corrective maintenance, optimizing operational costs and time, while guaranteeing compliance with current regulations. **Position Profile** Technical or engineering degree in automotive mechanics, diesel mechanics, or related field (preferred). **Experience** \* Minimum 3 to 5 years in a similar position. \* Experience in maintenance of heavy-duty units (trailers, tractor-trailers, diesel). \* Supervisory experience over operational staff. **Functions and Responsibilities** \* Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of the fleet. \* Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures in diesel units. \* Manage workshop personnel (task assignment, follow-up, and evaluation). \* Control inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables. \* Coordinate roadside assistance and on-route unit support. \* Ensure compliance with workshop safety and hygiene standards. \* Monitor repair times and staff efficiency. \* Prepare maintenance, cost, and unit availability reports. \* Manage external suppliers (spare parts vendors, specialized service providers). \* Ensure compliance with physical-mechanical inspections and conditions. \* Use of ZAM system (control, inventory, report tracking, and maintenance) **Technical Knowledge** \* Diesel engines (Cummins, Detroit, Caterpillar, etc.). \* Electrical and electronic systems. \* Transmissions, differentials, and air brake systems. \* Diagnostic scanning. \* Preventive maintenance programs. \* Transportation and safety regulations. **Behavioral Competencies** \* Leadership \* Decision-making \* Working under pressure \* Organization and planning \* Effective communication \* Results-oriented approach \* Problem-solving Salary: $2,500.00 - $3,500.00 per week Workplace: On-site employment
