Position Summary: Senior Manufacturing Engineer responsible for defining, standardizing, and optimizing manufacturing processes in industrial electrical and mechanical assembly projects. Key Highlights: 1. Technical leadership in advanced documentation and risk analysis. 2. Direct interaction on the production floor to ensure quality standards. 3. Focus on continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO regulations. ALTEN Mexico is seeking to integrate a **Senior Manufacturing Engineer** into its team, responsible for ensuring the proper definition, standardization, and optimization of manufacturing processes in industrial electrical and mechanical assembly projects. This position combines technical leadership in developing advanced documentation and performing risk analysis with direct interaction on the production floor to guarantee precise execution of quality and safety standards. At ALTEN, we value professionals with an analytical mindset, passion for operational excellence, and commitment to continuous improvement. Our team participates in strategic initiatives focused on production line design, engineering change implementation, and compliance with world-class standards under Lean Manufacturing methodologies and ISO regulations. **Position Objective** Ensure the creation, validation, and correct implementation of work instructions for electrical assemblies (control panels) and mechanical assemblies (industrial plumbing and metalworking), integrating engineering requirements and best manufacturing practices. The role requires a balance between technical process management — diagram validation, FMEA management, and change control — and operational support — fixture design and workstation optimization — to guarantee robust, safe, and efficient processes. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop and standardize visual and precise work instructions for complex electrical and mechanical assemblies. * Validate and verify electrical diagrams and 2D/3D technical drawings for correct application on the production line. * Lead process analysis using FMEA to identify critical operations and mitigate quality risks. * Manage engineering change control and ensure proper versioning of all technical documentation. * Design and implement technical solutions such as poka-yokes and electrical/mechanical fixtures to ensure process reproducibility. * Provide direct technical support during project launches and engineering changes. * Ensure compliance with WPI guidelines, focusing on ergonomics, line balancing, and workstation design. * Train operational staff on standardized processes and new assembly sequences. * Actively participate in ISO audits and lead Kaizen events to continuously improve productivity. Act as the primary technical liaison to resolve deviations and technical issues during the manufacturing process. * **Requirements** **Academic Background** * Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field. **Experience** * More than 8 years of experience in manufacturing or electrical and mechanical process engineering. * Solid experience in control panel assembly and industrial plumbing. * Proven track record in welding and metalworking (sheet metal) processes. * Advanced experience in developing standardized *work instructions*. **Technical Skills** * Advanced proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Standard Work methodologies. * Expertise in FMEA application and identification of critical operations. * In-depth knowledge of ISO audits and quality standards. * Ability to design and implement electrical and mechanical *fixtures* and *poka-yokes*. * Knowledge of WPI (ergonomics, line balancing, and line design). * Validation of 2D and 3D technical drawings for shop-floor interpretation. * Intermediate English. **Professional Competencies** * Technical leadership and analytical thinking for solving complex problems. * Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams (quality, production, design). * Orientation toward standardization and operational excellence. * Adaptability to rotating shift schedules (4x3\). **Key Position Objectives** * Ensure technical documentation is always up-to-date and complies with ISO audit standards. * Achieve full process standardization under the Standard Work methodology. * Optimize line efficiency through adherence to WPI guidelines and continuous improvement. Eliminate quality risks through effective implementation of control devices and expert technical support. * **Benefits** We offer * Base salary * Major Medical Expense Insurance (including dental and vision plans) * 15 days of Christmas bonus * 25% vacation premium * 12 vacation days (starting from the first year) * Social security * Profit-sharing (PTU) * Bi-weekly grocery vouchers
