Position: Cost and Inventory Analyst
**Location: Tijuana, B.C. \| Food Manufacturing Plant**
We are looking for a **Cost and Inventory Analyst** to join our team at a food production facility in **Tijuana, Baja California**.
We seek an analytical, organized individual with strong attention to detail, capable of controlling, analyzing, and monitoring production costs, inventories, raw material consumption, losses, and warehouse movements—contributing to better operational and financial decision-making.
Position Objective
Ensure accurate recording, control, and analysis of the plant’s production costs and inventories, identifying variances, improvement opportunities, and cost-saving areas within production processes.
Requirements
**Education:**
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
**Experience:**
Minimum 1–3 years in cost accounting, inventory management, warehousing, production, or similar roles—preferably in food, manufacturing, or consumer goods companies.
**Desired Knowledge:**
* Intermediate or advanced Excel skills.
* Experience with ERP systems, SAP, or similar administrative systems.
* Production costing.
* Inventory control.
* Analysis of variances between actual and standard costs.
* Control of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging.
* Reconciliations among physical inventory, system records, and accounting.
* Basic understanding of food plant production processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Determine, record, and analyze production costs.
* Control raw material, labor, and manufacturing overhead costs.
* Monitor production orders.
* Analyze variances among estimated, standard, and actual costs.
* Record and validate warehouse receipts, issuances, adjustments, returns, and consumptions.
* Perform physical inventory reconciliations against system records.
* Control and analyze losses, waste, inventory discrepancies, and rework.
* Generate periodic reports on costs, inventories, consumption, and product profitability.
* Support physical inventories, internal audits, and monthly closings.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in material and process control.
* Coordinate closely with production, warehousing, procurement, accounting, and administration teams.
