Job Description and Responsibilities
* Manages daily operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality.
* Supervises and coordinates activities of direct production staff, supervisors, and/or team leaders.
* Analyzes, plans, and schedules activities and resources to ensure achievement of the scheduled production volume.
* Manages the production department's expense accounts.
* Ensures product quality, good practices, and proper training of personnel involved in the process.
* Ensures that the process is safe and ergonomically appropriate for employees.
* Promotes a positive work environment, including low absenteeism and high employee retention.
* Leads, executes, and/or participates in improvement projects to increase company profitability and efficiency.
* Manages personnel (e.g., area/shift changes, promotions, terminations, disciplinary actions, vacation scheduling, pre-payroll processing, and leave authorization).
* Updates official documentation as needed.
* Trains personnel on engineering changes (conducts training sessions as required).
* Develops plans and strategies for the personal and professional development of production team members (supervisors and line leaders).
* Mentors assigned supervisors and line leaders.
* Implements and monitors corrective actions arising from the quality management system or continuous improvement initiatives.
* Conducts non-conformance impact analyses and develops recovery plans.
* Coordinates meetings and activities necessary for operational shutdowns and startups.
* Promotes the organization’s cultural model among team members.
* Participates in developing strategies and budgets to optimize the department’s operational costs.
* Performs all other duties naturally arising from operations or assigned by the immediate supervisor, aligned with FPH values.
Experience and Requirements
* Advanced computer skills.
* Knowledge of ISO 13485 and QSR.
* Training in quality management systems.
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
* More than 5 years of experience in manufacturing processes.
* Advanced English proficiency.
* Knowledge of ISO 14001 (current version) and environmental aspects and impacts identification.
* Green/Black Belt certification preferred.
* Leadership skills.
* Advanced knowledge of manufacturing terminology (BOM, routing, CT, Yield, etc.).
* Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and operational financial terms.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision.
* High initiative and sense of urgency.
