If you wish to challenge your knowledge and skills in safety, health, and environmental management systems, and contribute to a cultural shift in safety within one of the world’s most recognized manufacturing industries, then this role is for you! **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** * Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and procedures. * Thoroughly understand and implement Unilever’s UMS management system on the shop floor. * Report and resolve any deviations from standards by analyzing reported cards and reported AIs and CIs. * Conduct regular safety walkthroughs on the shop floor and report and seek solutions for each anomaly identified at the plant. * Ensure implementation of safety standards such as PSM, CPE, MHE, MS, and general requirements. * Deliver safety training to both employees and contractors. * Manage the contractor management system. **WHAT DO YOU NEED TO APPLY FOR THIS VACANCY?** **Experience** * 1 year as a Safety, Health, and Environment (SSHE) Supervisor or similar role. * Knowledge and experience with UMS, STPS, PSM, contractor management systems, and work permit release processes. **Skills** **Hard Skills** * Mexican official regulations and labor legislation (proficiency in NOMs related to safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations), and basic international standards and norms such as NFPA and ISO. * Risk management (ability to identify hazards, assess risks, implement controls, and investigate accidents and incidents). * Emergency plans (execution of response protocols for accidents, incidents, and natural events). * Audits and inspections (ability to conduct effective periodic walkthroughs to identify unsafe conditions and acts; ability to detect anomalies or deviations during documentary audits). **Soft Skills** * Collaborative and integrated teamwork. * Resilience. * Effective communication skills (empathy and active listening). * Leadership and negotiation. * Conflict resolution. **Leadership** * Focus on what matters. * Stay three steps ahead. * Execute with excellence. * Care deeply.
