




Position Summary: We are seeking a Structural Designer with experience in graphic arts to develop and design high-quality structures, focusing on product graphic communication. Quad is a company founded in the 1970s in Sussex; over time, we have established the best printing service in America. Currently, our trajectory expands into new areas of the graphic arts world, where we provide large-format printing services for various renowned clients. We are seeking a structural designer focused on in-store materials and experienced in graphic arts. **GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION** * Development and design of structures, meeting high standards of quality in functionality and graphic communication of the company’s products. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** * Plan and design new developments based on structures developed by Quad. * Test the functionality of each component. * Prepare presentations, renders, or proposals for clients. * Develop instructions and templates. * Assist in a specific project and/or manage its coordination. * Plan and schedule various processes to ensure delivery deadlines. * Report pending design tasks at least every two days. * Update the information management system in use. * Document development processes for new products. * Review file specifications and sizes. * Notify Key Account Executive if modifications are required. * File patents when required. * Send PDFs to the Key Account Executive. * Send print files to internal or external printers to generate color proofs. * Accompany with reference prints. * Prepare die-cut files and verify them against print files to confirm functionality. * Review the manufacturer’s and/or die-cutter’s specifications for the project to verify correct fabrication and functionality. * Deliver die-cut files. * Verify whether a die-cut chart exists or needs to be fabricated. * Document die-cut files. * Create templates for each new product. * Document instructions and communicate them to relevant departments. * Deliver instructions to Traffic on time. * Maintain order at the workstation, equipment, and personnel under supervision. * Attend work meetings or project follow-up meetings. * Notify Maintenance Manager of potential failures or maintenance requirements for scheduling. * Understand diverse production processes. * Attend seminars, courses, or training sessions both within and outside the city. * Comply with directives’ rules, policies, and regulations. * Optimize energy resources. * Maintain constant communication with the Production Department and accompany their developments at any stage of the process. * Additionally, perform any other related or complementary duties associated with the primary role. **POSITION REQUIREMENTS** **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design **Experience:** Minimum 3 years of experience as a Structural Designer. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** * Product Portfolio. * Knowledge of graphic arts. * General knowledge of production processes: printing, laminating, die-cutting, assembly. * General operational knowledge. * Knowledge of Industrial Design and fundamentals of Graphic Design. * Knowledge of die-cutting. * Basic Office software proficiency. * Internal software proficiency. * Proficiency in software such as *(Illustrator, Photoshop, Artios CAD, Rhino)*. * Leadership and people management. * Teamwork. * Decision-making. * Communication. * Results orientation. * Continuous improvement. * Flexibility and learning ability. * Problem-solving.
