




Position Summary: Coordinate and ensure the proper functioning of centers, laboratories, and workshops by managing their operations and supervising services. Key Responsibilities: 1. Advise the university community on proper equipment usage. About the Role Laboratory and Workshop Assistant Coordinate and ensure the correct function and operation of centers, laboratories, and workshops, as well as manage the various functions of the area and supervise the proper delivery of services by the department and its staff—including all internal and external personnel requiring such services. Your Key Challenges • Conduct equipment, machinery, consumables, and tool inventories for each workshop or laboratory in coordination with the Fixed Assets Department. • Ensure availability of appropriate supplies to support the effective implementation of practical learning scenarios. • Advise the university community on proper usage of various laboratory equipment in accordance with applicable regulations. • Safeguard facilities and equipment by verifying their appropriate use. • Manage the lending of facilities, equipment, and tools for curricular and extracurricular activities. • Participate in specialized training and updating programs for each facility. • Ensure proper use of the electronic logbook defined by the Educational Technology Directorates and generate usage statistics for each workshop and laboratory under your responsibility. • Participate in and promote academic service surveys administered to the university community. Profile We Seek Essential Requirements: • Completed bachelor’s degree and/or candidate in: Chemical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, QFBT (Chemistry, Biology, and Toxicology), or Biotechnology. • One year of experience in similar positions involving appropriate handling of materials and reagents (educational sector preferred). • Knowledge of laboratory safety regulations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Outlook. Desirable: • Experience using laboratory instruments and handling/classifying reagents. • Key competencies: service-oriented attitude, effective communication, ability to work under pressure, problem-solving skills, frustration tolerance, sense of urgency, planning and organizational skills, proactivity, teamwork. Working Hours: Afternoon shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–8:00 PM; Saturdays, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM.
