




Job Summary: The Senior PreMedia Production Artist creates print-ready files, exceeds client expectations, and mentors PreMedia Production Assistants in a dynamic environment. Key Highlights: 1. Mentor PreMedia Production Assistants to ensure their progress. **GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION** The Senior PreMedia Production Artist is responsible for creating print-ready files using the highest production quality standards, exceeding client expectations, mentoring PreMedia Production Assistants, and meeting/working with clients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Create print-ready designs from files provided by the client, art director, and/or copywriter. * Assemble all document elements, ensuring high-quality typography. * Perform appropriate color separations and trapping (when required). * Place graphics and comply with photo requirements (resolution, ink limits). * Apply appropriate printing specifications to produce technically accurate final files. * Render logos and artwork to meet final printing specifications. * General knowledge of workflows and procedures within the assigned area. * Mac environment proficiency. * Read and follow internal and client instructions. * Collaborate creatively, openly, and collaboratively with project and/or art managers. * Promptly notify relevant personnel of challenges affecting quality, schedule, or budget. * Discuss various approaches and methods to achieve individual and departmental goals. * Continuously review current production processes to identify efficiencies and improvements/changes. * Provide clear and concise written and/or verbal instructions to other team members. * Meet/work with clients to maximize efficiency on their projects. * Mentor PreMedia Production Assistants and hold biweekly meetings to ensure their progress. **QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design **Experience:** More than 3 years of experience in Editorial Design * Advanced conversational English * Flexible availability for shift scheduling * Proficiency in InDesign Morning shift: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Evening shift: 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** * Mastery in creating and using templates and style sheets, including text formatting, photo and artwork placement, and production of multiple versions. * Proficiency in Quark, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat in a Macintosh environment. * Mastery of required steps in the printing process and understanding of production methods to ensure designs are printable and deliverable in printed form. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. **100% ON-SITE** **WE ARE LOCATED IN XOCHIMILCO**
