Ensure quality and accuracy standards in content. **VACANCY: NEWS MANAGER** A prominent telecommunications company seeks a Bachelor's degree holder in Communication, Journalism, or related field to lead the news strategy and daily newscast production, guaranteeing that content meets quality, accuracy, and television timing standards. Location: Tampico, Tamaulipas. Vacancies: 1 Age: 22 to 40 years **RESPONSIBILITIES:** **A. Editorial and Desk Coordination:** ● Agenda Assignment: Lead the daily news meeting to assign coverage assignments to our reporters, as well as coordinate and follow up with COPER Agency. ● Text Editing: Review, correct, and apply editorial "style" to reporters' notes before they proceed to voice-over or editing. ● News Monitoring: Stay updated on news agencies, social media, and local media to identify breaking news or last-minute stories. **B. Script Production (Minute-by-Minute):** ● Determine the order of news items (news blocks). ● Establish the duration of each segment to ensure program punctuality. ● Coordinate with the technical department for required visual support (graphics, lower thirds, support videos). **C. Team Management:** ● Supervise performance and adherence to deadlines of personnel under your supervision. ● Ensure reporters comply with the channel’s editorial line and ethics. ● Coordinate with the newscast presenter and hosts. **REQUIREMENTS:** Education: Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, or related field. ● Experience: Minimum 2\-3 years in journalistic writing or media production (TV preferred). ● Technical Skills: Excellent spelling and writing, knowledge of TV narrative structures, basic proficiency in office software and editing software (desirable). ● Soft Skills: Leadership, decision-making under pressure, strong ethical awareness, and excellent verbal communication.
