Apply now for our open position: Measurement Technician. **Job Objective:** The primary function of the Measurement Systems Engineer is to serve as an expert in flow measurement equipment and instrumentation, meter validation and calibration, compact provers, equipment maintenance, measurement system design, standards development, and the design, installation, and commissioning of sampling equipment—ensuring reliable and safe custody transfer of refined products, guaranteeing service quality at the Refined Products Terminal in accordance with technical, safety, commercial, and financial standards and procedures, aligned with the Company’s business plan. The Measurement Systems Engineer reports to the Plant Manager. **Responsibilities:*** Ensure maintenance and implementation of the Measurement Management System. * Ensure establishment of engineering controls for flow measurement equipment and instrumentation. * Schedule and oversee the calibration process for measurement-related components as stipulated by RES/811/2015 (in force). Coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities for equipment involved in the Measurement Management System (primary, secondary, and tertiary elements). * Establish meter testing and calibration requirements. * Verify and monitor compliance with maintenance of measurement equipment and/or custody transfers. * Address and track deviation reports and customer claims. * Detect deviations from the Measurement System and the Measurement Management System (MMS), where applicable, from their expected behavior, and implement corresponding corrective and preventive actions. * Conduct Compliance Evaluation processes, internal and external audits, and process measurement results. * Track contracts and activities aimed at maintaining, verifying, updating, or calibrating MMS-related measurement equipment until they operate correctly, addressing possible deviations, observations, and opportunities for improvement, thereby keeping equipment in optimal operating condition. * Participate in measurement system design, standards development, and the design, installation, and commissioning of sampling equipment. * Prepare and analyze reports required for volumetric control compliance. * Maintain monthly volumetric control indicators for measurement systems. * Conduct risk analysis associated with the MMS, implement the corresponding risk management system, and maintain records of both. * Review and validate MMS-related reports and information required by the CRE. * Retain MMS-related documentation for CRE consultation upon request, or by authorized storage system users, for a minimum period of 10 years. * Generate, organize, implement changes, disseminate, store, and ensure traceability of all information derived from SGS operations. * Respond immediately to failures and alarms generated by Measurement Systems. * Track DOR (Daily Operations Report) imbalances by stored product. * Ensure that equipment and instruments used and/or acquired for receipt and distribution of petroleum products comply with metrological specifications per DACG for measurement. * Ensure volumetric control computer systems comply with RMF requirements. * Resolve non-conformities and/or observations identified during audit processes. * Review volumetric balance results for received and delivered petroleum products for the accounting period prior to reporting to relevant auditors. * Perform administrative activities related to expense budgeting; recommend software projects or programs for improvement to be included in capital (CAPEX) and operational (OPEX) budgets. * Execute assigned tasks in the SAP Maintenance System or equivalent as a user. * Ensure work is performed at an appropriate quality level and complies with company policies, applicable industry standards, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards, and legal requirements. * Actively participate in the development and implementation of Hygiene, Safety and Health, Protection and Environment (SSPA) policies and procedures, focused on zero safety and health incidents and environmental protection, as well as zero non-compliance with applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations. * Identify potential product loss risk scenarios arising from activities, assess the probability of occurrence for each scenario, and formulate specific recommendations to prevent environmental damage. * May be required to report to work outside regular hours during emergencies or extraordinary terminal operating conditions to support Emergency Response Team actions. * Interaction and coordination with accredited laboratories. * Analysis and tracking of metrological characteristics of instruments (meter factors). * Tracking of maintenance and calibration of reference equipment (provers).
