ENGINEERING MANAGER **JOB SUMMARY:** The Engineering Manager leads the engineering team to deliver, support, and maintain effective and efficient production processes. Responsible for customer engineering requirements and specifications. Understands key performance indicators for each process that manufacturing engineering will monitor and drive improvement. The Engineering Manager will calibrate and direct the engineering team on the current state of operations and remove obstacles to ensure improved and stable performance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Responsible for launch gates for purchase evaluation and transfer of processes and equipment. * Develop individual and departmental engineering goals supporting annual operational group goals. * Develop risk mitigation plans: interact with Android personnel and key suppliers to proactively identify critical risks. * Develop a high-performance culture emphasizing innovation, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and team member safety. * Manage engineering budget, staffing, facility readiness, and relevant assets as appropriate. * Support cross-functional core teams to train our engineers worldwide to achieve continuous improvements and common methodologies. * Provide leadership functions in manufacturing engineering, including process and design engineering, maintenance, systems and controls, facilitating Kaizen activities, quality support, ergonomics, and safety. * Periodically review maintenance objectives ensuring performance against targets and improvement. * Ensure completion of maintenance and meter calibration along with other requirements. * Ensure adherence to the engineering change process. Provide discipline to use the process for planning and preparing for changes. * Develop leading indicators for each process to proactively monitor. * All other duties as assigned. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required. * More than 10 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or related field. * More than 5 years of technical engineering leadership experience. **TRAVEL:** **Travel Required:** Minimal **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:** * High level of organizational ability in a highly complex environment. * Technically competent across a broad range of engineering disciplines. * Teamwork and leadership of teams toward a common, achieved objective. * Capable of seeking assistance from other valuable facilities and corporate resources. * Practical experience leading engineering systems and tasks (APQP, PFMEA, plant layout design, tooling and equipment maintenance, facility maintenance, etc.). * Proven leadership skills and experience mentoring and developing personnel. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong computer skills and expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. * Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask. * Detail-oriented and highly organized. * Tact, sense of urgency, and overall customer satisfaction focus. **BENEFITS:** **PURPOSE:** Building a Better Whole We build a better culture by putting people above profits, leading with purpose, passion, and performance, and creating an environment dedicated to an exceptional experience for our customers and people.
