Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining surveillance, order, and access control for personnel, vehicles, and materials entering and exiting the facilities, as well as preventing risk situations and ensuring compliance with security policies. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintain security and order at company facilities. 2. Control access of personnel and vehicles. 3. DE C.V.** **REPORTS TO:** * Security Supervisor. **SUBORDINATE POSITIONS:** * N/A. **RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:** * Under direct supervision of the Security Supervisor, responsible for maintaining surveillance and order of personnel, vehicles, and materials entering and exiting, as well as company facilities. * Responsible for immediately reporting to Human Resources any irregularities or situations detected. * Responsible for complying with and enforcing the Security Policy, Dress Code Procedure, and material entry/exit control procedures. * Must wear uniform daily. * Maintain required procedures and controls for OEA. **ACTIVITIES:** **Main Gatehouse:** * Maintain daily log of entries and exits for all persons entering the Company, including visitors, contractors, suppliers, and trusted employees arriving late, per Instruction IT6\.2RH14\. * Randomly inspect bags or large packages deemed pertinent, as well as the interior of employees’ vehicles, to detect anomalies or prevent unauthorized entry or exit of Company-owned materials, and to prevent prohibited items—including weapons, explosive devices, or any other object endangering employee physical integrity—as well as unregistered vehicles from entering the Company. * Verify with precision all employee permission requests for entering or exiting the Company. * Audit vehicle logs in accordance with the Authorized Vehicles Report. * Document and control all equipment and/or tools brought into the Company by employees and/or visitors, per Work Instruction IT6\.2RH33\. * Maintain an adequate stock of visitor badges and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at the Security Gatehouse for provision to Company visitors as required. * Receive, register, and report all medical disabilities arriving at the Company to the Medical Department, per Procedure PR6\.2RH01\. * Raise (install) flags on the first Monday of each month, on commemorative dates, and whenever requested by management. * Require all suppliers or contractors performing work for the Company to be registered with IMSS and authorized under SITPME, and require them to carry and wear at all times the PPE required for their work. * Verify that contractors are included on the Authorized Contractors List before permitting entry to the Plant. * Provide safety induction to suppliers and/or contractors entering the Company. * Document and control all equipment and/or tools brought into the Company by contractors, per Work Instruction IT6\.2RH33\. * Inspect all chemicals brought by contractors to verify authorization for Plant entry. * Prior to contractor departure, notify the Company’s project manager that work has been completed; additionally, inspect and document tool and/or equipment exit. * Monitor supply chain o Ensure trucks used for transportation of our products, imports, and exports carry correct documentation. o Inspect exterior of trailer containers, per Instruction IT6\.2RH35\. o Apply security seals to export-bound finished product containers destined for the United States. Such seals are provided by the carrier’s shipping coordinator. o Maintain records of entries and exits for Company materials, equipment, and products. * Package Delivery: o Request official identification from personnel presenting packages. o Request identification of the company they represent. o Verify that the person’s name matches VDO employee records. o Record in the designated logbook. o Visually inspect, manually examine, and scan all packages with a metal detector to prevent intrusion of weapons, explosives, or any other device threatening worker physical integrity. o Packages not related to office supplies shall be routed to the Materials Receiving area. o If a suspicious package is detected, notify the Superintendent and Human Resources Director, and request the package owner (employee) to proceed to the main gatehouse for package opening. **North Curtain:** * Sign and verify that all exit slips and scrap tickets contain required authorizations, descriptions, and quantities for all items exiting both the backyard and the Plant, per Instructions IT6\.2RH18 and IT8\.3CA05\. **General Activities:** * Daily ensure proper operation of the Closed-Circuit Television System (CCTV cameras) and its monitoring, immediately notifying the Superintendent and Human Resources Director of any irregularities observed across different areas. * Ensure proper functioning of door and emergency exit alarm systems. * Verify good condition of fire hydrants. * Keep the security gatehouse locked with a padlock whenever leaving it unattended to perform work-related tasks, and do NOT allow entry to anyone outside the Human Resources Department—except for Maintenance, Alarm Systems, or Facilities staff when necessary for installations. * Conduct inspection rounds inside and outside the building during each shift to identify possible anomalies jeopardizing or potentially jeopardizing Company and employee safety—including subcontractors working inside or outside the Plant—following format FO6\.2RH22 Guard Patrol Routes, and immediately report any anomalies to the Superintendent and Human Resources Director. * Keep Company parking and pedestrian gates closed at all times to safeguard employee and VDO employee vehicle integrity. * Do not permit use of emergency exits as regular exits. * Prohibit smoking in any area within the Plant. * Do not allow introduction of items intended for resale. * Prohibit introduction of radios, cameras, balls, or other items causing distraction or indiscipline in Plant areas. * Answer external phone calls as needed. For telephone messages to unionized personnel, inform the employee’s Supervisor or Leader. In emergencies, locate the employee. * Log all trusted employees exiting during the shift. * Report any unsafe conditions observed inside or outside the Company to the Security Supervisor or shift supervisor, whenever representing a risk to workers or the Company. * Report and prepare incident reports for any incidents occurring inside or outside the Company, whenever affecting the Company. * Keep gatehouse area clean. * Ensure implementation of procedures and controls required for OEA. * Perform other assigned tasks and responsibilities. * · **TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:** * General knowledge of surveillance and security. * Service-oriented attitude **EDUCATION REQUIRED:** * High school diploma preferred. **WORK EXPERIENCE:** * Minimum 2 years of experience in surveillance and security activities. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: * Prevent insecurity situations at the Company such as theft, vandalism, fires, or any other risk situation affecting the Company and/or its workers. * Control vehicle and personnel access to facilities. * Conduct daily patrol rounds. **Shift** First Shift (Mexico)
