Position Summary: We are seeking a Datacom Engineer to design, implement, optimize, and support data communication infrastructures, ensuring network availability, security, and performance. Key Highlights: 1. LAN, WAN, MAN, and IP network design, implementation, and optimization. 2. Router, switch, and firewall configuration and administration. 3. DATACOM ENGINEER We offer: Monthly salary: $25,000 to $30,000 (tax-free) Bi-weekly payments PL Hybrid work arrangement Monday to Friday schedule Work location: CDMX Position Objective Design, implement, optimize, and support data communication infrastructures, ensuring availability, security, and performance of corporate and telecommunications networks. \-\-\- Main Responsibilities Design LAN, WAN, MAN, and IP network architectures. Configure and administer routers, switches, firewalls, and transmission links. Implement communication and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VLAN, VPN). Monitor network performance and resolve incidents. Optimize traffic, latency, and service availability. Conduct testing, technical documentation, and network diagrams. Coordinate with deployment, security, and operations teams. Ensure compliance with security standards and operational continuity. \-\-\- Academic Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Networking, Computer Systems, Electronics, or related field. Certifications in networking (CCNA, CCNP, HCIA, HCIP, or equivalents) are desirable. \-\-\- Experience 2 to 5 years in data network design, operation, or support. Experience with enterprise-grade networking equipment. Experience with telecom service providers or system integrators is desirable. \-\-\- Technical Knowledge Dynamic routing and advanced switching. IP addressing and subnetting. MPLS, VPN, QoS, and traffic load balancing. Network security and segmentation. Monitoring using NMS tools. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP protocols. \-\-\- Skills Problem analysis and resolution. Logical thinking and results orientation. Ability to work under pressure. Clear technical documentation. Communication with both technical and non-technical teams. Performance Indicators Network availability. Incident resolution time. Performance optimization. SLA compliance.
