What are we looking for? Position Objective: To technically and methodologically lead the backend development team in building robust, secure, resilient, and scalable APIs in Java (Spring Boot and Quarkus), ensuring quality standards, alignment with defined architecture, and business objectives. Key Responsibilities: * Technical leadership of the backend team specialized in APIs. * Ensuring quality, security, performance, and resilience standards. * Validating alignment with the API Factory’s defined architecture. * Supervising adherence to SOLID principles, design patterns, Clean Code, automated testing, and technical debt management. * Guaranteeing best practices in CI/CD, versioning, and code quality. * Overseeing API security (authentication, authorization, error handling, data protection). * Continuous technical mentoring and code reviews. * Close collaboration with Architecture, DevOps, QA, and Project Management. * Participation in technical estimations (effort, timelines, resources). * Providing visibility on progress, risks, and technical status to management. Role Challenges: * Balancing speed versus quality and security. * Managing senior talent. * Controlling technical debt and scalability. * Technical governance and standardization. * Synchronizing across multiple specialized teams. * Rapid adaptation to new projects and technological changes. Essential Requirements Experience: * Degree in Computer Science or related field. * \+1 year leading backend technical teams. * \+5 years of software development experience (REST APIs preferred). Technology: * Java 11\+ (advanced). * Development of REST and SOAP services. * Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring MVC, Hibernate/JPA. * Quarkus (advanced). * Messaging (IBM MQ). * Microservices and layered architecture. * Design patterns, SOLID, Clean Code. * Identification of risks and non-functional requirements. * DevOps: Git, CI/CD, Jenkins, SonarQube, Pipelines, Atlassian Suite. * Containers: Kubernetes and OpenShift. * SCRUM and Kanban. * High availability, resilience, security, and quality in APIs. Conditions: * The client specifies a hybrid work model in their profile: 2 days remote / 3 days office; however, remote work has been predominant, with very occasional office attendance. * Occasional weekend availability required depending on project needs.
