If you’re ready to leave your mark on a transforming industry and work in an environment where every idea counts, Homie is the place for you. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead business financial planning, developing and executing the annual budget while ensuring efficient resource allocation for Mexico and Chile. * Provide visibility and control over financial health, analyzing cash burn and runway to anticipate liquidity needs and sustain operations. * Consolidate and standardize multi-country financial reporting, ensuring consistency, comparability, and clarity for decision-making. * Prepare executive reports and participate in meetings with leadership and the Board, presenting results, forecasts, and financial recommendations. * Strengthen internal controls and drive continuous improvement of the finance function by implementing policies, procedures, and optimizing ERP systems and approval workflows. * Lead monthly financial close and preparation of financial statements, including reconciliations, revaluations, depreciation, and amortization. * Ensure integrity and accuracy of the accounting records for all transactions, coordinating and reviewing daily journal entries for revenues, expenses, and general ledger postings. * Ensure proper recognition of sublease income and accurate recording and tracking of lease liabilities and right-of-use assets. * Manage cash flow and working capital, including bank account management, scheduling and controlling payments to property owners and third parties. * Control accounts payable, including recording, validation, scheduling, and tracking to closure. * Monitor investments in MXN and USD, tracking movements, returns, and reporting. * Coordinate external audits and respond to requests, ensuring full document traceability and compliance. * Define and execute tax strategy within the legal framework, resolving critical tax and accounting matters while ensuring compliance and efficiency. * Fulfill tax obligations, including provisional ISR payments, definitive IVA payments, withholdings, DIOT filings, annual tax returns, and electronic accounting. * Respond to SAT requirements and periodic reviews, maintaining complete documentation and timely responses. * Execute payroll processes and labor compliance, calculating biweekly payrolls, final settlements, and severance payments. * Manage social security registrations, cancellations, and modifications to base salary contributions; handle SUA administration and calculation of employer-employee contributions. * Calculate and implement Payroll Tax, with appropriate controls and scheduling. **What You Need to Apply** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field * Clear communication skills to present results and explain variances to leadership; experience preparing Board materials is desirable * Solid experience in accounting, taxation, and payroll in Mexico, with practical expertise in SAT regulations, DIOT, electronic accounting, IMSS, and SUA * Experience leading monthly closings and preparing financial statements, including comprehensive reconciliations and quality control * Experience building and managing annual budgets, tracking variances, and controlling expenses * Ability to manage cash flow and working capital, including payment scheduling and control * Skill in modeling and monitoring liquidity metrics such as cash burn and runway, translating them into operational decisions * Knowledge of lease accounting and right-of-use assets, and revenue recognition principles—ideally in real estate or rental business models * Experience with ERP systems, including designing/improving internal controls and approval workflows * Reconciliations, reporting, variance analysis, and handling large volumes of data * Desirable experience consolidating multi-country information or supporting regional operations (Mexico and Chile) We embrace and celebrate the richness each unique talent brings—regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic or social background, beliefs, physical abilities, age, sexual orientation, or identity.
