Job Summary: Coordinate and monitor the operation of transportation units, ensuring compliance with routes, schedules, and security protocols, as well as effective communication with operators and customers. Key Responsibilities: 1. Coordination and monitoring of transportation units 2. Communication management with operators and customers 3. Application of security and operational protocols A4\.1 OPERATIONS · Verify that the location of all units is correct according to their scheduled trips. · Check in the monitoring system whether the GPS of all units is updating properly. · Provide instructions to operators on where to direct the units. · Submit daily status reports for each unit at designated cut-off times. · Ensure that operators and their units: o Travel only on authorized roads and zones. o Operate within the established schedule. o Stop only in authorized zones. o Depart on time to reach loading or unloading appointments. · Report incidents when issues arise with operators. · Contact operators when their GPS devices are not updating, to verify if everything is functioning properly. · Ensure refrigerated units have their thermos units powered on when carrying temperature-sensitive cargo. · Monitor diesel levels of units in the Excel-based system. · Prepare weekly reports on kilometers traveled by each unit. · Notify the GPS provider when a GPS device fails and ensure timely repair. · Record adherence to loading and unloading appointments. · Prepare status and critical issue reports for the next shift. A4\.2 CUSTOMERS · Generate delay reports for units departing from customers who request them (departure times, appointment times, temperature). · Notify customers when units are delayed. · Notify customers when units are waiting to be unloaded. A4\.3 SECURITY · Apply protocols in case of accidents. · Apply protocols in case of theft or attempted theft. · Instruct operators not to stop in high-risk areas. · Instruct operators to operate only during authorized hours.
