**Subject Instructor \| Digital Image Processing and Computer Vision** **About the Role** In this role, you will develop students' competencies for designing, developing, and integrating artificial vision systems using digital image processing techniques, aiming to automate industrial inspection processes, guide robotic systems, and endow mechatronic systems with intelligent perception. **Your Key Challenges:** * Understand the principles of digital image formation, color models, and appropriate lighting techniques to ensure high-quality capture of visual data in industrial environments. * Apply spatial and frequency-domain operators to remove noise, enhance edges, and improve image quality, facilitating subsequent analysis. * Implement thresholding algorithms, contour detection, and morphological operations to isolate objects or regions of interest within a scene. * Incorporate modern tools to solve complex visual inspection and classification problems that traditional methods do not address efficiently. * Define objectives, content, teaching methodologies, and assessment criteria. * Organize educational resources and time allocation. **Profile We Are Seeking:** **Essential Requirements:** * Education: Bachelor’s degree / engineering degree in mechatronics or related field, along with official license. * Experience: 2–3 years of teaching and professional experience in the field. **Desirable Qualifications:** * A master’s degree in a related field is desirable. * Familiarity with systems and platforms such as Teams, Blackboard, or similar. * Key competencies: digital and technological proficiency; ability to develop empathy, patience, and conflict resolution skills; capacity to design classes that foster critical thinking, creativity, and active participation. **Your Impact at UVM** At the Universidad del Valle de México, we educate well-rounded individuals for fulfilling lives and a better world.
