This includes, but is not limited to, qualifying new processes, maintaining and improving key quality metrics, expediting nonconforming product disposition, and coordinating root cause investigation and corrective action with suppliers. * Develops programs, procedures, and systems to facilitate manufacturing operations through frequent communication; training, sharing "best practices", and leading supplier-driven improvements to achieve higher quality. * Manages the Incoming Inspection department. Improves response time after raw material receipt for inspection and coordinates activities with Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to resolve nonconformities. * Oversees BD’s internal Injection Molding Quality department. * Identifies quality improvement opportunities and coordinates with Operations and Engineering to implement projects achieving the highest quality levels. * Supports the quality control line, including: inspection, nonconformance disposition, root cause analysis, and facilitation of corrective action plans. * Develops budgets and controls expenses within budgetary constraints for the Supplier Quality Department in Tijuana, Mexico. * Coordinates and participates in external regulatory or customer audits, as well as internal corporate BD or other Business Unit audits.
