Summary: This role involves preparing bank reconciliations, recording journal entries for insurance amortization and accruals, and maintaining accounting reports and checklists. Highlights: 1. Prepares bank reconciliations for US and Mexican books 2. Records journal entries for insurance amortization and various accruals 3. Maintains accounting reports and ensures approval of journal entries **Summary**Prepares the bank reconciliations of 14 accounts on a monthly and periodic basis (14 for US books and 14 for MEX books), loads the journal entries related to insurance amortization (medical, life and fire insurance). In addition, records the accrual of the following expenses: security guards, alarms, garbage collection, cleaning service, and audit services of Datazone, Zone Compra, and the CAT. This person keeps the checklist of standard journal entries updated during the closing period and ensures that it is completed. **Position Responsibilities:*** Record all journal entries related to insurance amortization and accruals of audit services, security guards, garbage collection, alarms, and cleaning service. * Prepare the bank reconciliations for US and Mexican books (28 reconciliations) and review all items in the reconciliations. * Keep accounting reports updated (e.g., AssureNET reports and checklist of standard entries). Verify on a daily basis that all journal entries are approved. In addition, keep the list of information requirements updated during internal and external audit processes. * **Position Requirements:*** Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent. * Area of Study: Accounting * Years of Experience: Two to three years. * Type of Experience: General accounting AutoZone México is the leading distributor of automotive parts and accessories in the Americas.
