Join Cargill's global team of 160,000 employees who use new technologies, dynamic insights and over 157 years of experience to connect farmers with markets, customers with ingredients, and people and animals with the food they need to *thrive*. **Job Purpose and Impact** -------------------------- The Materialist Operator will perform a variety of responsibilities within the assigned area of the production facility, including operation of machinery and mechanical equipment, performance of preventive maintenance, and resolution of basic problems in accordance with established policies, procedures, and frequent guidance. In this role, different work areas will be assigned as needed to ensure production goals are met, support the production of quality products, and maximize performance while adhering to all safety policies and regulations. **Key Accountabilities** ------------------------ * Operate computer equipment, pallet jacks, stackers, and technological tools in the assigned area of the production facility to process work orders, using basic understanding of policies and procedures to execute fundamental and clearly defined processes. * Receive and physically count raw materials, supply production lines according to production orders, and monitor infrequent basic machine adjustments. * Learn operational procedures, receive information from colleagues, and provide feedback on the clarity and effectiveness of guidance, including documentation of procedures. * Conduct routine monitoring of assigned equipment and processes, collaborating with the team to resolve issues. Record production and inventory activities in computerized systems. * Operate mobile equipment (e.g., pallet jacks and stackers). Understand and comply with all safety policies and procedures, maintain a safe and clean work environment, and control the pace of work and progress of assigned teams or processes—requiring knowledge of interconnections with other process areas. Other duties as assigned. * **Qualifications** ------------------ * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Must have completed secondary education. * Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing up and down stairs, kneeling, squatting, or twisting safely, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Ability to work in various environments where noise, dust, chemicals, etc., may be present, using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). * Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts, with prior notice. * Ability to operate industrial machinery and/or equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Basic experience using a computer. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience (6 months) working in a production or plant environment. * Experience in inventory handling. * Basic practical knowledge of Microsoft Office software, such as Excel and Word.
