Participation in new model introductions and continuous improvement Join our team at Polaris Inc. as a Process Technician! **JOB SUMMARY:** Responsible for direct support to production lines within the Manufacturing Department related to process control, tools, tooling, assembly fixtures, parameterization, and recipe control to ensure product quality, delivery, and cost, always focused on personnel safety and process efficiency. This role involves immediately responding to line support calls to contribute toward achieving daily production targets, as well as safety, quality, and other metrics. Plans and manages daily time for monitoring and administration of process control systems and assigned responsibilities, focusing on reducing downtime, identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues. Responsible for enforcing established standards in Work Instructions and Equipment, and works on continuous improvement to reduce costs, waste, and productivity loss. **PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Provide support during the production shift through immediate response to line issues. Provide overtime support when necessary for routine issues to avoid carrying problems over to the next shift. * Complete assigned training to improve skills in the role, and contribute ideas to enhance technical skills and optimize line support processes. * Responsible for weekly review of the Bill of Materials (BOM), component routings, and dissemination of engineering changes and/or effective dates. * Responsible for reviewing, controlling parameters and recipes of equipment, assisting Control and Maintenance teams with equipment failures when required, and optimizing process conditions. Absolute leadership of the MES process control system (Pin Point, Indusoft). * Responsible for controlling, maintaining, and replacing tools, tooling, nests, and assembly fixtures assigned to production for use in the process and equipment. * Responsible for controlling, maintaining, and replacing torque tools assigned to production for use in the process and equipment. (Applicable only to positions with a torque focus.) * Inventory control of fixtures and tooling, tracking of refurbishment plans, and proposing improvement ideas. * Responsible for reviewing and clarifying downtime during the shift with the production team, participating in root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Provide necessary information to Leader and/or ME regarding causes attributable to Manufacturing. * Participation in new model introductions, engineering changes, and/or part effective date changes. Support during testing and implementation periods. * Track quality issues, KPIs (QSR, IR, FTQ, warranties), and participate in corrective and preventive actions. * Track safety findings, KPIs (PSI, Recordables), and participate in corrective and preventive actions. * Provide support during critical runs and critical production periods (month-end, quarter-end, year-end) where additional assistance is needed to meet metric requirements. * Provide support to the Lead Technician and/or ME for tracking activities related to production, planning, and other departments. Also cover Leader absences by temporarily assuming the role during their absence. * Collaborate with Maintenance and Control departments to improve workstations. * Responsible and leader for Pokayoke equipment operation records. Immediate response to failure reports. * Lead with Maintenance and Control teams to ensure optimal operation of quality assurance systems on equipment and workstations (verifiers, vision systems, pressing, leak testing, etc.). **SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EDUCATION:** * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or related field * 1–2 years of experience in Manufacturing, Assembly, Production, and/or Quality Assurance (QA) * Proficiency in mechanical tools * Basic knowledge of torque tools * Knowledge of pneumatic systems and equipment * Experience in material removal processes * Operation and handling of drilling equipment and tools * Technical knowledge of spindles and their application in machining and production processes * Participation in tooling change and adjustment activities on production lines or equipment * Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools * Experience with industrial systems and platforms such as AS400, BOM management, BOM Analyzer, Pin Point, and Indusoft * High level of proactivity, availability, and results orientation * Organizational skills and problem-solving mindset * Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks * Intermediate English proficiency North Pole Star, S. de R.L. de C.V. is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and makes all employment-related decisions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, marital status, family status, receipt of public assistance, union membership, political beliefs, or any other condition protected under applicable law.
