Position Summary: We are seeking a COBOL Mainframe Developer to develop, maintain, and support applications in mainframe environments, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Team collaboration and system documentation Capital Empresarial Horizonte, a Mexican company specializing in Human Resources and Information Technologies, is looking for: COBOL Mainframe Developer Conversational English required On-site work in Toluca (3 days per week on-site, 2 days remote) *Free transportation provided from El Ángel de la Independencia (round trip) Hybrid Work Model · Requirements Experience developing COBOL applications in mainframe environments. Knowledge of JCL and batch process handling. Experience with mainframe databases (DB2 or others). Familiarity with transactional systems (CICS is a plus). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working in critical production environments. Desirable Knowledge Experience in legacy system migration or modernization. Understanding of integration with modern technologies (APIs, services). Experience in industries such as banking, insurance, or government. · Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and support applications in mainframe environments using COBOL. Analyze functional and technical requirements to implement efficient solutions. Perform corrective, preventive, and evolutionary maintenance on existing systems. Manage and optimize batch and online processes in production environments. Identify and resolve production incidents, ensuring operational continuity. Collaborate with business, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver solutions. Document developments, processes, and system changes.
