Focus on product quality and specifications At Outokumpu, the world leader in stainless steel, we are seeking an Engineer for the **Second Rolling** position to join our dynamic Operations team at our San Luis Potosí, Mexico plant. **Objective:** As part of the crew, you will be responsible for reducing material thickness to meet customer requirements. ***This position rotates across all three shifts.*** **Objective:** Ensure the final product meets customer requirements for quality and specifications including thickness, elasticity, gloss, and sheet flatness. **Education and Experience:** * \> 2 years of experience in operational production processes. * Completed engineering degree (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronics) or related engineering field * Prior experience with problem-solving methodologies and tools such as Lean Six Sigma or similar * Demonstrable experience in analyzing and resolving issues during production processes * Understanding of industrial safety standards * Capable of lifting 15–40 kg jointly with another person Availability to rotate across all three shifts **Skills and Competencies:** * Communication and teamwork skills across different departments * Attention to detail and adherence to specifications * Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions * Time management and goal orientation toward production targets and continuous performance improvement. **Responsibilities:** * Ensures compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures. * Actively participates in manufacturing excellence and reliability initiatives * Completes reports timely and accurately to ensure information is available when needed Shared Responsibilities: * Jointly with the First Roller, responsible for ensuring the final product meets customer requirements for quality and specifications including thickness, elasticity, gloss, and sheet flatness **Salary: MXN 20,480–28,160.** **We offer**: Grocery vouchers \- Savings fund \- Retirement plan \- Year-end bonus above statutory minimum \- Statutory vacation days \- Vacation bonus above statutory minimum \- Monthly production incentive or annual sales incentive, contingent upon company KPI performance \- Life insurance \- Major medical expense insurance for employee and immediate family (children up to age 23) \- Profit-sharing based on company results \- Transportation service covering 9 routes
