**Position:** Remote Intake Specialist **Location:** Remote **Job Type:** Full\-Time **Pay:** $8\.00 – $10\.00 per hour **Schedule:** 8:30 am \- 5:30 pm (PST\-Los Angeles) * Over time, possible * Weekend availability possible **Equipment:** Provided by the firm **\*PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE OFFICE REGARDING THIS POSITION\*** **About the Role** We are a growing law firm seeking a **Remote Intake Specialist** who is professional, empathetic, detail\-oriented, and confident on the phone. This role is often the **first point of contact** for potential clients, so clear communication, emotional intelligence, and excellent customer service skills are essential. The ideal candidate sounds calm, confident, and reassuring, even when speaking with callers who may be stressed, frustrated, or dealing with difficult situations. Prior law firm or intake experience is a strong plus, but not required for the right person. **Key Responsibilities** * Answer incoming calls professionally and consistently * Conduct initial intake calls and gather accurate client information * Clearly explain next steps in the intake process * Maintain a warm, patient, and professional tone on every call * Enter and organize intake information accurately in firm systems * Identify urgent issues and escalate appropriately * Follow call scripts while still sounding natural and human * Handle multiple calls and tasks efficiently in a fast\-paced environment * Communicate clearly with attorneys and internal staff * Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care **Required Qualifications** * **Excellent English communication skills** (spoken and written) * Strong phone presence with clear pronunciation and confidence * Proven customer service experience (call center, intake, support, hospitality, etc.) * Ability to stay calm, empathetic, and professional under pressure * Strong attention to detail and listening skills * Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment * Ability to follow processes while adapting to real conversations **Preferred** * Prior **law firm or legal intake experience** * Familiarity with call systems, CRMs, or intake software * Experience speaking with clients in emotionally sensitive situations * Understanding of personal injury or legal intake workflows **What We’re Really Looking For (Personality Fit)** We are looking for someone who: * Sounds **warm, confident, and trustworthy** on the phone * Listens more than they talk — but asks the right questions * Can build rapport quickly with strangers * Is naturally organized and detail\-oriented * Takes pride in being someone’s first positive experience with the firm * Can balance empathy with efficiency **Interview \& Hiring Process** * **Voicemail Test** \- Applicants will submit a short voicemail recording to assess tone, clarity, and professionalism. * **Initial Zoom Interview – 15 minutes** A brief conversation to review experience, communication style, and availability. * **Zoom Interview with Partners – 1 hour** Deeper discussion focused on real\-world intake scenarios and professionalism. * **Timed Intake Test \-** A practical test simulating real intake situations to evaluate accuracy, listening skills, and written communication.
