Focus on safety and regulatory compliance. **Job Description: Facilities Maintenance Manager – Automotive Mechanical Workshop** **Job Objective** Ensure optimal, safe, and continuous operation of all facilities, equipment, and systems within the automotive mechanical workshop. Guarantee that infrastructure, tools, and machinery—including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and plumbing systems—operate according to standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. **Key Responsibilities** **1\. Facility Maintenance** * Supervise and perform preventive and corrective maintenance of workshop facilities (floors, roofs, drains, work areas, lighting, signage). * Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards and good operational practices. * Manage minor repairs and coordinate specialized work when external support is required. **2\. Plumbing Systems** * Inspect and maintain water lines, drains, grease traps, and pressure systems. * Detect and repair leaks, blockages, or failures in pipes and connections. * Ensure proper operation of restrooms, sinks, parts washers, and other water-dependent equipment. **3\. Electrical Systems** * Supervise and perform basic to intermediate electrical maintenance: panels, circuit breakers, wiring, outlets, lighting, motors, and workshop electrical equipment. * Diagnose and safely correct electrical faults. * Ensure all equipment complies with load, grounding, and protection standards. **4\. Pneumatic Equipment** * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on air compressors, pneumatic lines, regulators, lubricators, and pneumatic tools. * Verify pressure levels, detect leaks, and ensure proper filter and lubrication conditions. * Maintain service records and consumable replacement logs. **5\. Hydraulic Equipment** * Inspect and maintain automotive lifts, hydraulic jacks, presses, and any equipment operating with hydraulic systems. * Detect leaks, hose wear, valve or seal deterioration. * Ensure calibration, oil level, and safe operation. **6\. Operational Management** * Develop and implement monthly, quarterly, and annual preventive maintenance plans. * Track inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance consumables. * Coordinate with external vendors for specialized services. * Document incidents, repairs, and downtime. **7\. Safety and Compliance** * Ensure all workshop areas comply with safety standards, signage, and housekeeping requirements. * Conduct periodic inspections to prevent hazards. * Train staff on proper use of facilities and equipment.
