Work with purpose at an institution with history and presence. *About the Role* **Maintenance Assistant** Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks according to the assigned specialty (electrician, mason, plumber, blacksmith, carpenter, painter) to preserve and maintain facilities, as well as furniture and equipment, in optimal operational and functional condition. **Your Key Challenges:** * Perform maintenance activities across the following areas: electricity, plumbing, welding, aluminum and glass, carpentry, masonry, gardening, painting. * Carry out relocation and assembly of various furniture and equipment. * Support the maintenance officer in executing scheduled maintenance tasks. * Perform maintenance work in offices, laboratories, classrooms, and restrooms to ensure facilities remain operational. * Assist with window, classroom, office, and hall cleaning to ensure clear visibility and professional appearance. *Profile We Are Seeking* **Essential Requirements:** * **Education:** Minimum basic education level (with proof of studies). * Completion of courses or specializations in plumbing, masonry, painting, or related fields. * **Experience:** 1–2 years in similar roles (general helper, maintenance assistant), experience using and handling manual, mechanical, and electrical tools, knowledge of electricity, and practical knowledge applicable to the maintenance and preservation of movable and immovable assets. **Desirable:** * Experience in global or educational environments. * Key competencies: time management, sense of urgency, problem-solving, service orientation. **Your Impact at UNITEC** At this institution, we develop well-rounded individuals for fulfilling lives and a better world.
