Sigma is seeking a Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. **A TIG welder with argon experience** is a specialist in the construction and maintenance of metallic structures and components, particularly in precision welding. Their profile combines sheet metal fabrication and TIG welding skills, using argon as the shielding gas. Responsibilities and Duties: * **Assembly and Installation**: Fabricate and assemble parts, structures, pipes, tanks, and equipment according to drawings and specifications. * **Precision Welding**: Perform TIG welding (using pure argon gas) on materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum. * **Sanitary Welding**: Apply sanitary welding techniques (with argon backing) on food-grade piping for industrial applications. * **Blueprint Interpretation**: Read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, and welding symbols to ensure dimensional accuracy. * **Material Handling**: Work with thin gauges and varying thicknesses, from thin sheets up to Schedule 80\. * **Equipment Operation**: Operate TIG welding equipment, as well as auxiliary tools including shears, presses, bending machines, and measuring instruments. * **Quality Control**: Conduct visual inspections to detect defects such as porosity or lack of fusion, and ensure welds meet required standards. * **Safety**: Follow health and safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment to mitigate risks. Minimum Requirements: Prior experience in sheet metal fabrication, ability to work collaboratively in a team, and effective communication skills.
