Job Summary: Safely and efficiently operate CNC laser and plasma cutting machines to manufacture high-quality metal parts, optimizing material usage and maintaining equipment. Key Highlights: 1. Operate CNC laser and plasma cutting machinery with precision. 2. Perform basic setup and programming to optimize material usage. 3. Ensure quality and compliance with production schedules. Job Objective Safely and efficiently operate CNC laser and plasma cutting machines to fabricate metal parts according to engineering drawings, programs, and technical specifications—ensuring quality, material utilization, production timelines, and equipment care. Key Responsibilities Machine Operation * Operate CNC laser cutting and CNC plasma cutting machines. * Load cutting programs and verify parameters prior to production start. * Mount, center, and position sheets, plates, or materials to be cut. * Execute test runs and validate the first part. * Continuously monitor the cutting process. * Unload, identify, and organize finished parts. * Separate scrap and recoverable material. Quality and Production * Interpret basic drawings, dimensions, and tolerances. * Verify measurements using tape measures, calipers, and basic inspection tools. * Detect cutting defects: burrs, distortion, lack of penetration, poor geometry, slag, burn marks, etc. * Meet daily production schedules. * Report non-conforming parts or deviations. Basic Setup and Programming * Adjust parameters such as speed, power, amperage, gas pressure, and cutting height based on material type. * Perform basic nesting or follow programs released by engineering. * Optimize material utilization when authorized. Maintenance and Safety * Perform daily cleaning of equipment and work area. * Inspect consumables: nozzles, electrodes, lenses, mirrors, filters, gases, cutting tables. * Report mechanical, electrical, or performance failures. * Comply with safety regulations and proper use of PPE. * Maintain order and discipline at the workstation. Required Profile **Education:** Completed secondary education / Technical high school preferred. **Experience:** * 1–3 years operating laser, plasma, or similar CNC cutting equipment. * Experience in a metalworking shop is preferred. **Technical Knowledge:** * CNC operation * Blueprint interpretation * Types of steel, stainless steel, aluminum * Basic measurement techniques * Cutting parameters * Industrial safety * Software such as AutoCAD, SigmaNEST, Lantek, or similar (preferred) Competencies * Attention to detail * Responsibility * Orderliness and cleanliness * Sense of urgency * Teamwork * Quality focus * Operational discipline * Equipment care Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $14,000.00 – $17,000.00 per month Benefits: * Company parking * Option for indefinite-term contract * Cafeteria service * Company phone Work Location: On-site employment
