We are seeking an **Infrastructure Manager** to keep the network operational, well-documented, and support growth in Veracruz, Mexico. **Role:** The **Infrastructure Manager** builds and maintains an integrated, motivated internal and external workforce, ensuring the availability of the fiber optic cable network both in indoor and outdoor facilities. The ideal candidate documents the network timely and accurately, facilitates sales and growth, and plans and executes activities required for network maintenance and service delivery. **Responsibilities:** * Define and budget fiber optic network cable routes based on optimal cost/benefit analysis, in compliance with current regulations and aligned with company policies and procedures. * Develop preventive maintenance programs for the fiber optic network, backup power equipment, and climate control systems; coordinate activities to repair faults in the shortest possible time. * Plan daily activities and dispatch personnel through the system. * Add, modify, and delete tasks so that the system reflects field reality. * Identify and mitigate incidents and unforeseen events that could delay or jeopardize delivery dates. * Promote and enforce internal regulations and report all incidents. * Ensure personnel under supervision use appropriate personal protective equipment and perform tasks as established by the company. * Obtain requirements and procedures to coordinate customer visits for both internal staff and contractors. * Document infrastructure metrics such as deliveries, MTTR, and maintenance activities, among others. * Provide immediate response to faults reported by NOC. * Interview and select candidates for the work team using company systems and with support from People Operations. * Administer and document payroll-related incidents, including vacation requests, shift schedules, and leave approvals, etc. * Define and implement performance improvement plans for personnel requiring them. * Submit expense reports on time and in full. * Schedule vehicle maintenance and payment of vehicle registration renewals. * Schedule maintenance for measurement equipment, fusion splicers, and tools. * Promote cross-training and equitable task assignment. * Timely process requests for third-party work authorizations, maintaining infrastructure integrity and preventing interference from third-party activities. * Ensure the entire team complies with company procedures, instructions, policies, and regulations, as well as federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. * Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and right-of-way rights for fiber optic network installation and operation. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Telematics, or related fields. * Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in a related area. * Knowledge of right-of-way permit procedures for marginal infrastructure installation with municipal, state, and federal authorities. * Familiarity with electricity utility guidelines for using utility poles to install fiber optic cables. * Experience in design, construction, and maintenance of aerial and underground external plant fiber optic infrastructure. * Experience in analyzing and resolving fiber optic network issues. * Experience in selecting and supervising external plant contractors. * Experience in planning and executing concurrent projects using project management systems. * Knowledge of wireless link installation. * Ability to hold a conversation in English. * Proactive, self-directed, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
