Job Summary: We are seeking an Automation Tester to ensure software quality and integrity through the design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated and manual tests. Key Highlights: 1. At ALTEN Mexico, we value talent and are looking for an Automation Tester to join our team. As an Automation Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring software quality and integrity through the design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated and manual tests. This role combines programming, analysis, in-depth debugging, and working with technical documentation in complex validation environments. **Responsibilities:** * Design, develop, and implement automated and manual test cases to validate software functionality. * Analyze requirements, technical documentation, and system architecture to design comprehensive test plans, including edge cases and integration scenarios. * Execute tests across various environments and validate functionality, stability, and system behavior. * Develop test automation code adhering to standards of quality, maintainability, and robustness. * Perform detailed analysis and debugging when defects are detected, identifying whether the root cause lies in the software, the test, or the environment. * Refactor and improve scripts, libraries, and test cases to ensure efficient and up-to-date operations. * Validate software fixes through targeted and regression testing. * Manage versions and dependencies of the test framework using version control systems. * Document test results, evidence, and reports using collaborative tools. * Collaborate with development, validation, architecture, and product management teams to ensure high-quality deliverables. Requirements * Degree in Automotive Systems Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. * Proficiency in **Python** for script development and automation. * Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Robot Framework, unittest, or similar). * Knowledge of data structures, debugging, and good programming practices. * Familiarity with version control systems (preferably **Git**). * Experience using Jira for task, incident, and planning tracking. * Fundamentals of software verification and validation. * Basic knowledge of functional testing, regression testing, and validation of fixes. * Ability to work with technical documentation and translate requirements into test cases. * Advanced English (mandatory) Salary: $13,000.00 - $15,000.00 per month Work Location: On-site employment
