Join our team to continue building our success story together. **Job Description** -------------------------- As a Cook II, you will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking a variety of dishes—including soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts—for our valued guests. In addition to executing the menu, this role involves ordering supplies, maintaining records and accounts, pricing menu items, and planning menus—allowing you to demonstrate your culinary expertise and creativity.**Job Functions and Responsibilities** -------------------------------------------- * Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes, following recipes and presentation standards. * Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment, adhering to all local and federal food safety and handling regulations. * Order and maintain appropriate inventory levels of kitchen supplies while managing inventory and minimizing waste. * Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and develop new menu items, ensuring variety and creativity in offerings. * Oversee and adjust menu pricing, considering food costs, market trends, and competitor pricing. * Accurately maintain required records, including food production, inventory, and accounting. * Coordinate the work of other cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring consistency in dish quality and presentation. * Train junior team members in food preparation, presentation, and safety standards, fostering a positive learning environment. * Complete additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned. **Work Experience** ----------------------- * Requires experience across a variety of work processes through a combination of job-related training and substantial hands-on experience. * Typically acts as a leader, coordinating others’ work but not serving as a supervisor. * Works autonomously within established procedures and practices. * Has 4–5 years of work experience. **Competencies** ---------------- Business acumen Advocating for guest needs Self-development Impact Interpersonal skills Functional job knowledge Leadership Problem solving Teamwork and collaboration Accountability**Education** ------------- * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * A combination of education and experience will be considered. **Certifications** ------------------- * Certifications may be required or preferred.
