This role is responsible for building a new engineering hub and driving the development of next\-generation battery management software for future mobility solutions. You will play a critical role in shaping technical strategy, engineering excellence, and organizational culture while partnering with global teams to deliver innovative, safety\-critical automotive systems. **What You’ll Do (Impact Areas)** --------------------------------- ### **Engineering Leadership \& Talent Development** * Build, lead, and mentor a high\-performing team of embedded software engineers in a distributed environment * Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement * Act as a technical leader and coach, guiding teams through complex design and problem\-solving challenges ### **Technical Strategy \& Execution** * Own the end\-to\-end development of embedded software (base software, middleware, diagnostics, and application layers) for a new development site, including: + Development environments and toolchains + CI/CD pipelines tailored for embedded systems + Software lifecycle processes, coding standards, and workflows + Integration and validation frameworks (SIL, HIL, bench testing) * Partner with product, architecture, and quality teams to align with global engineering standards ### **Global Collaboration \& Stakeholder Management** * Collaborate with global product teams, customers, suppliers, and cross\-functional stakeholders * Serve as the primary interface between the Mexico engineering hub and years of experience in embedded software development for safety\-critical systems * 5\+ years in a technical leadership or engineering management role * Proven experience in automotive or mobility\-related industries * Strong experience with software requirements engineering and systems integration * Demonstrated ability to build teams and operate in ambiguous, fast\-evolving environments * Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal) ### **Preferred** * Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies * Strong knowledge of ASPICE processes and compliance * Experience with functional safety and cybersecurity standards (ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434\) * Familiarity with tools such as Jira, IBM DOORS, Jama, and UML\-based design tools * Experience with AUTOSAR (e.g., Vector DaVinci) * Experience with model\-based development tools (MathWorks, TargetLink) * Knowledge of verification tools (QAC, Cantata) * Experience with automotive communication protocols
