Position Summary: The Lean Manufacturing Engineer implements and sustains continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes and enhance operational efficiency. Develop and train technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement **Lean Manufacturing Engineer** **Work Type\| On-site** **Saltillo \-Ramos Arizpe \- Monterrey\- Mexico City\| Full-time** **Publication Date****: April 21** **Start Date:** **Immediate** Ensure the implementation and sustainability of continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, aiming to optimize processes, reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance the organization’s operational efficiency. **The Position** As a **Lean Manufacturing Engineer**, you will report directly to the Department Manager and play an integral role within the team. Your responsibilities include: * Leading continuous improvement projects using the DMAIC methodology, ensuring their execution and closure. * Identifying and optimizing operational processes through statistical analysis (SPC, Cp, Cpk, regression, and trend analysis). * Implementing Lean tools: 6S, Kaizen events, and process mapping (VSM). * Defining, tracking, and reporting KPIs using control dashboards (Balanced Scorecard). * Developing and training technical teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement. * Coordinating audits, standardizing improvements, and ensuring compliance with operational standards. **Requirements and Skills** * Strong knowledge of Lean culture and continuous improvement. * Identification and elimination of the eight types of waste. * Implementation of 6S and Standardized Work. * Focus on First-Time Quality. * Experience with DMM (Daily Morning Meetings). * Application of SMED, OEE, TEEP, and TPM. * Problem-solving methodologies: Kaizen, PDCA, DMAIC, and A3\. * Gemba Walk. * Production line balancing. **Education and Professional Background** * Education: Bachelor’s degree in **Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering**, or a related field. * Certifications: + Lean Six Sigma Green Belt + Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred) + Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Kaizen (preferred) * Experience: **2 to 3 years** in industrial environments (steel, refractories, metalworking, or heavy manufacturing), with proven experience in: + Implementing continuous improvement projects using the DMAIC methodology + Optimizing production processes on-site + Direct interaction with operations (production, maintenance, quality, etc.) * Technical Knowledge: + Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPC, Cp, Cpk, regression, DOE) + Advanced Excel and Power BI skills (data analysis) + Use of statistical software (Minitab or similar) – Mandatory + Layout design software (AutoCAD) – Preferred **What We Offer** * A competitive compensation package reflecting your qualifications, experience, and current market standards. * Flat hierarchies and streamlined decision-making processes. * Comprehensive social benefits, including major medical expense insurance, vacation bonus exceeding statutory requirements, and a savings fund. * Access to continuous learning and development via the RHIM Academy LMS, the full LinkedIn Learning catalog, and our Internal Mentorship Program.
