At ALTEN Mexico, we value talent and are seeking a Functional Modeling Engineer \- Mid to join our team. As a Functional Modeling Engineer \- Mid, you will be part of the Validation team (HiL/MiL/SiL), responsible for designing, developing, and implementing embedded systems, mechatronic devices, and software solutions that extend our products beyond their current limitations. **Responsibilities:** * Design and develop electronic circuits and systems, including analog and digital circuits, microcontrollers, and interfaces with sensors and actuators. * Select and evaluate electronic components, ensuring optimal performance and high reliability. * Develop and test prototypes, iterating designs based on performance and functional requirements. * Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration. * Design and implement mechatronic systems, integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components. * Develop control algorithms for motion control, feedback control, and other mechatronic functions. * Analyze sensor and actuator data to optimize system performance and functionality. * Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to mechatronic systems. * Develop embedded software applications using Python and C\+\+. * Use Python for rapid prototyping, automation (scripting), and data analysis, and C\+\+ for performance-critical applications and low-level hardware interaction. * Write efficient and robust real-time application code, considering resource constraints and performance optimization. * Collaborate with software engineers to ensure effective software-hardware integration. * Develop and execute test plans for electronic circuits, mechatronic systems, and embedded software. * Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure product quality, reliability, and safety. * Prepare technical documentation for electronic circuits, mechatronic systems, and software applications. * Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to colleagues, stakeholders, and customers. **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree and professional license in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum 2 years of experience in electronics and mechatronics design and development. * Solid understanding of electronics fundamentals, including circuit design, microcontrollers, and sensor/actuator interfacing. * **Experience in embedded programming using Python and C\+\+.** * Knowledge of control theory, robotics, or automation. * Experience with **communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, and Ethernet.** * Proficiency with electronic design automation (EDA) tools. * Familiarity with **version control systems such as Git.** **Soft Skills** * Analytical thinking and attention to detail. * Organization and efficient time and priority management. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal interaction skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams. **Benefits** * Base salary * Major Medical Expense Insurance (including dental and vision coverage) * 15 days of year-end bonus * 25% vacation premium * 12 vacation days (starting from the first year) * Biweekly food vouchers
