Description
**Job Objective**
Responsible for operating, supervising, and monitoring boilers and auxiliary equipment to ensure continuous and safe generation of steam required by the plant, guaranteeing compliance with industrial safety standards, quality, operational efficiency, and applicable regulations.
**Main Responsibilities**
* Operate and monitor boilers, steam systems, and auxiliary equipment to ensure continuity of the production process.
* Ensure proper functioning of water treatment and supply systems for boiler feedwater.
* Comply with industrial safety, quality, and environmental protection procedures.
* Maintain operational logs and records to enable control and tracking of operating conditions.
* Detect, report, and follow up on operational failures or deviations to prevent plant shutdowns and hazards.
**Job Activities**
* Operate water treatment equipment and auxiliary systems related to boilers and steam generation.
* Monitor water and steam levels, flow rates, pressure, temperature, and physicochemical parameters.
* Perform chemical dosing according to established procedures.
* Verify operation of pumps, valves, filters, burners, and distribution systems.
* Ensure continuous and efficient supply of water and steam to various plant areas.
* Collect samples and record results of operational analyses and controls.
* Maintain daily operation logs and records of consumption and equipment conditions.
* Detect and report failures, leaks, or deviations in boilers, piping, and auxiliary systems.
* Perform basic preventive cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
* Comply with industrial safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and proper use of PPE.
* Follow up on compliance with quality parameters and environmental regulations.
* Maintain order and cleanliness in the operation and water treatment area.
**Experience**
* Minimum 1–3 years’ experience as a Boiler Operator, Fireman, or similar role in industrial steam generation and water treatment operations.
**Technical Knowledge**
* Operation and monitoring of boilers and steam systems.
* Water treatment and quality for boiler feedwater.
* Handling of pumps, valves, filters, and hydraulic systems.
* Basic reading and interpretation of indicators and operational parameters.
* Industrial safety, chemical handling, and PPE usage.
* Basic preventive and minor corrective maintenance.
* Maintenance of operational logs and records.
**Preferred Industries**
Desirable experience in plants producing:
* Vegetable oils and fats
* Flour mills
* Bakeries
* Dairy products
* Bottling plants
* Meat processing
* Canned goods
* Confectionery
**Work Schedule**
* **Monday through Sunday**, with **midweek rest day**.
* **Three-shift rotation**, aligned with plant operational requirements.
Salary: $13,900\.00 per month
