Import Assistant - Full-time

Description

Job Summary: Coordinate and track international shipments, manage customs documentation, and ensure compliance with regulations throughout the import process. Key Highlights: 1. End-to-end management of import documentation and shipments. 2. Collaboration with customs brokers and tracking of customs clearance. 3. Validation of information and compliance with customs regulations. Main Responsibilities • Compile and review import documentation (invoices, customs declarations, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates, etc.). • Track international shipments (ocean, air, or land). • Coordinate with customs brokers, suppliers, and carriers. • Validate information in systems (tariff classifications, values, taxes). • Support preparation and review of customs declarations. • Monitor status of customs clearance. • Maintain physical/digital document control and filing. • Verify compliance with non-tariff regulations and restrictions. • Assist with reconciliation of import costs. • Update databases and reports.
