Description

Job Summary: Design, supervise, install, and maintain HVAC systems to optimize facility operations, reduce environmental impact, and lower costs. Key Highlights: 1. Critical role in energy efficiency and indoor air quality 2. Opportunity to work with advanced HVAC technology and international standards 3. Professional development in high-efficiency air conditioning systems Job Mission: Design, supervise, install, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring compliance with thermal comfort, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency standards, in order to optimize facility operations while reducing environmental impact and operational costs. Education: Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial, or Thermal Systems Engineering degree, or related field. Master’s degree in Air Conditioning (HVAC) with Energy Efficiency / Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering / Master’s in Industrial Refrigeration and Cold Storage / Master’s in Renewable Energy or Energy Management. Main Responsibilities: Ensure installations comply with local regulations (e.g., NOM standards in Mexico) and international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA). Execute and document leak-tightness and pressure tests (pipes/ducts), guaranteeing leak detection prior to wall or ceiling closure, and reporting any anomalies to the HVAC coordinator. Ensure personnel have calibrated and appropriate tools for specific tasks, such as vacuum pumps, pressure gauges, multimeters, anemometers, and PANDA. Verify on-site progress of HVAC system activities, identifying deviations from the schedule and quality plan, and providing corrective actions and reports as necessary. Perform, verify, and validate thermal load calculations (indoor and outdoor), airflow rates based on air changes per hour (ACH), and air balancing including infiltration, ensuring alignment with specifications set by the coordinator per ASHRAE and project requirements. Confirm that psychrometric analyses are applied based on prior selection of coils (chilled/hot water, direct expansion), humidifiers, and dehumidifiers, ensuring required temperature and humidity conditions for each space. Conduct and report hydrostatic tests on chilled/hot water piping, verifying pressures per ASME B31.3 and documenting results. Technical Competencies: Thermal modeling software to optimize energy consumption and size equipment (thermal load calculation). Specialization in high-efficiency systems, eco-friendly refrigerants, and LEED certifications. Specialization in automatic control systems to optimize HVAC operation. Specialization in cooling processes, cold rooms, and precision refrigeration. ASME B31.3: Hydrostatic testing of piping. Benefits and Perks: Weekly payroll Statutory benefits/Vacation/Bonus vacation pay/Maternity or paternity leave/Per diems/Truck reimbursement. Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 07:00–16:00 hrs.
