Job Summary: Participate in and verify actions to maintain harmony, tranquility, and order, preventing security incidents and ensuring regulatory compliance within the institution. Key Responsibilities: 1. Monitor and control personnel entry into the area of responsibility. 2. Intervene and report crimes, infractions, or irregular situations. 3. Ensure compliance with security measures and institutional regulations. **Objective:** Participate in and verify actions aimed at maintaining harmony, tranquility, and order within the area of responsibility and other institutional areas during service hours. Prevent, at all times, operational actions or conditions that may cause security incidents, administrative infractions, or events jeopardizing the university community’s tangible and intangible assets; and ensure compliance with laws, institutional regulations, and security-related ordinances. **Functions:** Identify, control, and monitor personnel entry into the area of responsibility, as required. Observe and monitor abnormal or irregular behavior of individuals while performing duties. Immediately intervene and report crimes, infractions, conflicts, or irregular situations, applying appropriate procedures. Verify that work and activities conducted in the area of responsibility comply with regulatory security measures. Immediately verify and report unsafe or irregular conditions in facilities within the area of responsibility, as detected during patrols, per instructions from the immediate supervisor. Apply guidelines and institutional regulations applicable to Institutional Security services. Assist internal and external clients by directing them to the appropriate departments for issue resolution. Participate in operational deployments during special, cultural, social, sports, and academic events. Participate in activities of the Institutional Security, Search and Rescue, and Firefighting Brigade under the institution’s Internal Civil Protection Committee. Responsibilities Always act upholding institutional values and the code of ethics, accepting responsibility for one’s actions. Understand the institutional structure and remain updated on relevant information. Interact courteously and respectfully while performing duties, maintaining a firm attitude. Arrive 15 minutes early at the assigned area of responsibility. Comply with and implement institutional guidelines, regulations, and the Director’s Instructions Manual. Participate in training and courses to update knowledge on strategies and tactics beneficial to the service. Maintain confidentiality of information generated during duty performance. Actively participate in the institution’s Internal Civil Protection Program as a member of the Security, Evacuation, Search and Rescue, and Firefighting Brigade.
