Description

Develop detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring accurate interpretation of technical specifications, dimensions, materials, and customer requirements to facilitate efficient and precise fabrication of metal components and structures. **Advanced English** – Required (the position involves interaction with U.S. customers) **\*\*Please apply only if you reside in Tijuana, Tecate, or Rosarito\*\*** Key Responsibilities Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks according to customer, engineering, and internal requirements. * Generate shop drawings, assembly drawings, detail drawings, and fabrication drawings. * Perform component and subassembly breakdowns for manufacturing. * Prepare bills of materials (BOM) and related technical documentation. * Verify dimensions, tolerances, materials, and specifications prior to release to production. * Interpret architectural, structural, sketch, and technical specification drawings. * Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams for technical clarifications. * Incorporate revisions, engineering changes (ECO/ECN), and design updates. * Support dimensional surveys when required. * Ensure issued drawings comply with internal drawing standards and document control requirements. * Maintain organization and traceability of electronic files and revisions. Requirements Education * Technical or university degree in: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Design, Mechatronics Engineering, Technical Architecture, or related field. Technical Knowledge * Advanced SolidWorks proficiency * 2D drawings * Sheet Metal * Weldments (very important for structural applications) * Drawings / detailing * BOM creation * Basic/intermediate GD\&T * Drawing interpretation * Dimensional tolerances Manufacturing Processes: * Cutting * Welding * Machining * Assembly * Finishing (desirable) * **Software**: Advanced SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor (desirable) **Competencies** * Attention to detail * Analytical thinking * Organization * Sense of urgency * Effective communication * Teamwork * Follow-up * Quality focus * Problem solving Work Location: On-site employment
