**Purpose and Impact in the Role**

The Regional SMART MSC Engineer will apply process-oriented technology improvement implementation techniques. In this role, you will provide technical support, manufacturing and supply chain expertise, continuous improvement methodologies, and project management skills—serving as an active team member on moderately complex topics related to the technological domain area.
You will contribute to process capability and availability by reducing variability and mitigating risks across manufacturing and supply chain operations. Additionally, you will help the area achieve both variable and fixed cost and efficiency targets, while protecting people, communities, the environment, and assets—and fulfilling our commercial obligations.
**Key Responsibilities**

* Serve as the primary point of contact and interface for Smart Manufacturing & Supply Chain tools, primarily on-site.
* Collaborate with manufacturing/supply chain specialists to analyze technology opportunities (digitalization, automation, advanced analytics), seeking more efficient and cost-effective approaches that drive higher quality and reliability outcomes.
* Partner with relevant personnel from other departments within the site or across the organization to benchmark SMART practices (digitalization, automation, and advanced analytics) and support strategy development and execution.
* Collect and analyze moderately complex data and trends, and develop recommendations and plans to improve performance and processes—ensuring consistent monitoring indicators and early warning systems.
* Lead SMART initiatives (digitalization, automation, and advanced analytics), guided by project management methodologies, change management practices, and cross-functional teamwork—ensuring proper end-to-end execution.
* Support the implementation and sustainability of the SMART plan (digitalization, automation, and advanced analytics) at both local and regional levels.
* Independently resolve moderately complex problems with minimal supervision, escalating more complex issues to the appropriate team as needed.

**Qualifications**
------------------
MINIMUM
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
* Minimum of two years of related work experience
* Experience with SMART tools (SQL PI, PI Vision, Savigent, SEEQ, Rtduet, PC Factory, Accelerator, Power BI, Power Apps, etc.)
* Project management experience
* Willingness and ability to travel
PREFERRED
* Advanced English proficiency
* Experience in digitalization or automation projects (SMART / Industry 4.0)
* Data engineering experience
* Lean Six Sigma training (Yellow Belt / Green Belt)
* Foundational knowledge of Manufacturing and Supply Chain functions
* Experience with Office 365 tools (Power BI, Excel, Power Apps)
