Implement continuous improvements and automation in payroll processes. **Job Mission:** Ensure financial integrity, accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency of the payroll process for manufacturing plants, guaranteeing proper recording, supervision, and control of payroll incidents, weekly and biweekly closings, as well as strict adherence to SOX guidelines, corporate policies, and applicable tax and labor regulations. **Key Responsibilities** * Payroll Operational Process Supervision * Supervise incidents in E‑Time, weekly (hourly) and biweekly (salary) payroll incidents. * Validate that all incidents are captured and authorized daily, per standards defined at each plant. * Monitor that overtime processes have approved requests prior to execution by Industrial Engineering. * Supervise, control, and analyze: * + weekly and biweekly pre‑payroll; + figures generated in weekly and biweekly closings; + adherence to the payroll calendar. * Supervise and execute extraordinary payments, off‑payroll payments, and supplemental payrolls. * Review and confirm Hourly and Salary closings. * Track printing and delivery of payroll receipts for unionized personnel. * Financial, SOX, and Reconciliation Controls * Ensure SOX control compliance across all payroll activities and operational processes. * Validate and approve monthly and quarterly reconciliations in OneStream. * Prepare and approve Art \& Mis reclassification journal entries. * Implement preventive and corrective controls to minimize operational risks in the payroll process (automated validations prior to closing). * Ensure work orders and labor authorizations are complete to avoid cost overruns. * Disbursement, Banking, and Financial Transactions * Request funds for bank transfers related to payroll. * Validate Pluxxe card / food voucher assignments for new hires. * Generate files and execute bank account change processes (BBVA and Banamex). * Supervise processes related to INFONAVIT, FONACOT, and tax requirements for electronic invoicing (CFDI stamping). * Integration, Systems, and ICT Management * Address incidents with E‑Time vendor (Client – Etime Net). * Track incidents and improvements with the ICT department. * Lead implementation of system changes, updates, and new functionalities. * Supervise data flows and integration between payroll systems (Workday/Strada). * Manage and resolve CFDI stamping inconsistencies in coordination with Tax and PAC. * Interdepartmental and Plant Coordination * Coordinate and supervise the payroll analyst team at Saltillo and Toluca plants. * Conduct staff meetings to maintain alignment among teams in Saltillo, Toluca, and Santa Fe. * Hold periodic meetings with Human Resources, Labor Relations, and Industrial Engineering. * Ensure Labor Relations delivers validated information timely and accurately for payroll closings. * Continuous Improvement and Automation * Implement process improvements based on payroll standardization and automation initiatives. * Participate in operational optimization, digitalization, and control automation projects. * Propose and implement KPIs to measure process efficiency (errors, incidents, disbursement rejections, accumulations, etc.). * Personnel Administration * Train new hires and coordinate internship hiring and follow‑up at plants. * Provide clear operational guidelines to local analysts. * Evaluate team operational performance (without issuing personal judgments). Requirements: Education * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Experience * 8 years in operational payroll, finance, or controller functions. * Experience managing manufacturing payroll (preferred).
