You will manage and optimize the full lifecycle of Operational Technology (OT) systems (design, implementation, continuous improvement, and decommissioning) to ensure that OT infrastructure remains consistently fit-for-purpose, compliant with regulations, and directly supports operational continuity, efficiency, and profitability objectives across Vopak’s terminals in Veracruz, Coatzacoalcos, and Altamira. **What do we offer you?** * **Competitive salary aligned with experience and skills.** * **Major medical expense coverage** * **Grocery vouchers** * **Savings fund** * **Year-end bonus exceeding the statutory minimum.** * **Ongoing training** * **Growth opportunities** **What do we expect from you as an OT Engineer?** * **Minimum academic qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Electronics Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields within the Information Technology (IoT) domain.** * **Minimum professional experience in industrial technology environments (OT, Automation, IoT), preferably in industries such as oil & gas, chemicals, or logistics.** * **Knowledge and experience in automation and/or network project implementation and/or execution.** * **Review of engineering documentation for control systems, networks, and instrumentation (e.g., electrical routing diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), network and control architectures).** * **Knowledge and experience in maintenance and management of automation systems, IoT, and/or networks—both hardware and software.** * **Preferably experience maintaining instrumentation and control equipment.** * **Management and maintenance of operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, etc.** * **Proficiency in technical and conversational English** * **Knowledge and/or experience working under management system frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001, 14001\)** * **Discipline and teamwork orientation.** * **This position is located in Veracruz, Mexico, and the candidate must hold legal authorization to work in Mexico.** **Your key responsibilities include:** * **Responsible for end-to-end lifecycle management of OT systems—from initial conceptualization and planning, scope development, project execution management, ongoing maintenance, to eventual system decommissioning.** * **Responsible for planning, managing, communicating, and executing operational expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) activities to secure necessary resources for OT platform implementation and maintenance.** * **Serves as the focal point for all communications and coordination with key stakeholders, including project teams, vendors, and functional departments.** * **Responsible for proposing and translating technological and architectural improvements to enhance OT system operational efficiency, maintenance, and lifecycle performance.** * **Responsible for managing, administering, and enforcing service-level agreements (SLAs) with vendors, ensuring compliance and quality in system support and maintenance.** * **Responsible for maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date documentation—including Lifecycle Plans, technical documentation, and associated annexes—for OT systems.** **Want to start as an OT Engineer at Vopak?** **Are you ready to share your vision and help Vopak deliver outstanding service to our customers?
